Light Ideas, Worcester - Importer of a range of exterior lighting products for home and garden.

Light Ideas came to us in need of a solution for their store room; they needed to keep the heat in and the dust out, in order to maintain a clean environment to protect their stock, and a suitable temperature for their staff

The project wasn’t quite straight forward however, as the cladding currently in place was not strong enough to hold the weight of the curtain.

Solution

We worked with Light Ideas to get the right product for their environment; the right design of curtain to use, grade of strip, correct installation of steelwork and a convenient time to install.

We produced two different curtains, to meet each need identified. To cover the stock, we installed a relatively simple static hook-on curtain.

To maintain the temperature of the space, we designed a sliding curtain, but needed to stabilise the structure that the hanging system would be fixed to. To do this we installed a steel RSJ, which all our fitting team are trained to do.

We were able to complete the full installation in just two days, ensuring as little disruption as possible.

It is now possible for Light Ideas to maintain the temperature and cleanliness of their workshop, making it more comfortable and hygienic for their workers. In addition stock was kept in optimal conditions, with dust, pests and other debris kept out of the space.
